Unscheduled Sleep Positions VII

Unfortunately, Godzilla is curled up sick here. However, the eye mask, snake, bear, blanket combo is normal cuddle material for him.

You know this feeling. The one where your body is so sore that just the thought of taking another step seems like more than you can handle. When you know it's either pass out in bed, or like Godzilla here, fall down wherever you happen to be. This is my litmus test for how sick a kid is.

Is he jumping around, playing games? He's not that sick.

Is he begging to watch TV, and once it's on, can't sit still? He's not that sick.

Is his appetite still there in full swing? Not that sick.

Did he pass out in a La-Z-Boy, cuddling a snake? I think he's sick.

Of course, there is more to it than this, and as a parent you hate to see your kids suffer, but you can see the signs, and so, we do all we can to make sure they get better. We read them a book, put on their favorite movie, and turn out the lights as out comes the medicine, the eye mask and of course, the snake.
